HQ Company, 52nd Armored Infantry Battalion "Envelope''

This is an original censored WWII Army Cover dated June 8, 1945 and is franked with stamp #C3 "Air Mail". The envelop was sent by Pfc. Francis V. See to Cpl. Everett Hazen from the 54th Armored Field Artillery, APO253 wich was the Army Postal Office of the 3rd Armored Division. Nevertheless the envelope contains nothing. The address the envelope was sent from was APO#259 which was in Weiden, Germany on this date.

Francis V. See (#37747035) was a member of Hq. Company, 52nd Armored Field Artillery at the time this letter was written. Francis See from Nedsho County, Kansas, was born on June 22, 1925, in Kansas . He had a Grammer school education and his occupation was listed as "Semiskilled, chauffeurs and drivers, bus, taxi, truck and tractor". He entered the service as a draftee on June 23, 1944 at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

Francis V. See, married on June 15, 1945 with Lenora D. See (°June 8, 1923). Francis See died on October 13, 1998, he and is burried, with his wife Lenora who died January 2, 200, at the Walnut Cemetery, Walnut, Crawford County, Kansas.
